Legs on a bus....not an upskirt thing :)

My future Ex-Ms.Diss emailed me this question yesterday and after a while I figured it out (I couldn't leave ti alone until it was figured out). Can you?

This is no trick question. So no BS about "none since they on the bus not in the bus" or any silly crap like that.

There are 7 girls on a bus. Each girl has 7 backpacks. In each backpack, there are 7 big cats. For every big cat there are 7 little cats. How many legs are there in the bus?

Post a comment with your answer.

So far Myself and B have figured it out. The rest of you sound off with your answers in the comment section. I'll reveal the answer in a few days.

If there is no driver on the bus (that wasn't mentioned) there would be 84 legs (2 on each girl, 2 on each packback and 28 on each set of cats). If there is a driver, then the answer is 86.

    A few clearafications:

    1) No bus driver.
    2) Although not specifically stated, the small cats are also considered to be in the backpacks, or at least on the bus.

    ANSWER:
    10990 legs on the bus
    11088 if you count backpacks

    THOUGHT PROCESS:
One girl and her cats can be considered one set.

    One set contains:
    one girl
    seven backpacks

    each backpack contains:
    49 little cats: 49x4=196
    7 big cat: 7x4=28
total number of legs in one pack: 224

    7 packs multiplied by 224 legs: 1568
    1568 legs plus the girl's legs: 1570

7 girls (sets) multiplied by 1570: 10990 legs.

I also tried to do it mathematically:

    7(2)+7[7(7x4)+7(49x4)]
    7(2)+7[7(28)+7(196)]
    7(2)+7[196+1372]
    7(2)+7[1568]
    14+10976
    10990

I got the same answer so I'm pretty sure I'm right. Either that or I'm a dumbass twice over.

I've never heard the shoulder straps of a backpack being called legs, but if you incude those then:

    7(2x7)=98

    98 plus 10990 gives a total of 11088

Well, there you have it. My genius at work. If I am right you may all worship my greatness. If I'm wrong, blame the public school system that produced the wreck I just typed.

After reviewing the entries Luis has it
    correct.

There is no bus driver and the straps on the backpacks are not considered legs so they don't figure into the equation either.

So you Luis win the Kewpie Doll.
