Hello everyone, this is Dissident.  

I’m a 32 year old guy, I love gadgets movies reading. I travel a lot and enjoy meeting new people. To quote the late great Douglas Adams (R.I.P.) “I’m a radical atheist.”  I’m a bit of a hedonist, and exhibitionist. I believe in evolution, Creationists are idiots.  I read voraciously. I keep thinking of writing a novel but I never can find the time to bother. I am single but looking to change that. Yes I have someone in mind. I love the show "Heroes", and lament the loss of "Monster Garage". I'm anti-Apple but not pro-Microsoft. I love the Discovery channel but hate Lifetime. I love Lambo's but would buy a Viper.

I actually own a Zune. Fuck the iPod. I have a Helio Ocean. Fuck the iPhone.

B and myself have said for year that reality based TV sucks because it isn’t real. It’s all scripted, and in the end they usually are playing for some prize. We knew we could do better but never bothered. The prospects of taping a show, editing it, and then shopping it around to networks not only seemed like too much work but pointless too. We were afflicted with apathy. To a great extent I still am. Whatever. 

With the advent of podcasting the idea came back up. An audio program seemed too easy so here we are. I’ve been writing a blog for a while but since I knew no one would probably read it the updates were infrequent, and basically became a simple place to post about my projects for submittal to places like Makezine.com. I also used it to vent about things and put up cool links. I will continue that kind of thing here but regularly. 

I enjoy building things, modifying things and making things do what they aren’t meant to do. Void your warrantee.  

I think weekly I’m going to put up a “Random corner of My reality” photo. Basically a un-staged photo of a random corner of my apartment. You can learn a lot about a person by looking into his home, but even something like the coffee table can tell a lot about you. The magazines stacked up, remotes, and the random flotsam and jetsam that inevitably ends up on a personal space like a table can be both humorous and interesting. Why not right?
